Pheasants Forever

Pheasants Forever (PF) is a non-profit conservation organization of nearly 100,000 dedicated members and over 550 chapters diligently working to improve habitat conditions for wildlife through prudent land stewardship, public policy and education. PF sponsors LEP and provides the Ringnecks education program for PF youth members.
Aldo Leopold Foundation

LEP has been developed with encouragement and cooperation of the Aldo Leopold Foundation, a not-for-profit organization established by the family of Aldo Leopold to perpetuate Leopold’s influence in humankind’s care of the Earth by fostering an ethical relationship between people and the land.

The University of Wisconsin Library system now provides internet access to many of Aldo Leopold’s documents and photographs that have not been widely available. These materials are included in the Libraries’ Ecology and Natural Resources Digital Collection, which houses primary and secondary publications, and writings about research in ecology and natural resources conducted by University of Wisconsin faculty and staff.

Nature Net, a consortium of nature centers from around the state, spearheaded by the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, is now offering a searchable on-line directory of Wisconsin nature centers. The directory lists environmental educational programs, overnight facilities, standards-based programs, service learning projects, and more!
The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes honors young people ages 8 to 18 who have shown leadership and courage in public service to people and our planet. Half of each year's winners are chosen for their work to protect the environment. Winners receive $2,000.
