Dougg Wright
Dougg Wright has always enjoyed nature. From his early years in Northern Michigan hunting with his father to backpacking with his wife along Lake Michigan, nature has been an integral part of his life. As a naturalist he has the opportunity to pass on his love of nature to the next generation of conservationists as well as helping today’s educators share the outdoors with their students. Dougg was first trained to facilitate LEP in 2007 and now takes the reins from his mentor, Wendy Cheek, as state coordinator in Michigan. He was awarded the Michigan LEP Facilitator of the Year in 2009. He holds a B.S. in Earth Science and Geography from Central Michigan University, is a Michigan certified teacher, and an Interpretive Naturalist at the Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway in Holland, Michigan. Dougg has been happily married for 15 years and enjoys camping, fly fishing, hiking, snowboarding and mountain biking.

William Faber
William provides an international perspective on natural resources management. He earned his doctorate in Wildlife Ecology in 1998 from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He also earned his Master’s degree while in Sweden in 1993 as part of 13 years of research primarily focused on moose. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management from the University of Minnesota in 1985. He has received a Bachelor of Elective Studies degree in Biology with an emphasis in Wildlife Biology from St. Cloud State University. Bill was an adjunct instructor for two years before going full time in 2006 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN. He was an assistant professor in Wildlife Ecology at SCSU (1999-2002). Bill is past president of the Minnesota Chapter of The Wildlife Society. His extensive global commitment to natural resources is proven in travel to 30 nations primarily for wildlife ecology-related work. I have been teaching Aldo Leopold's land ethic in my natural resources courses for the past 7 years, and have been strongly influenced by Aldo's approach in my overall approach to conservation education. I look forward to expanding his teachings through the Leopold Education Project in Minnesota to carry on the important legacy that Leopold has established.
